Dr. Peter Kelly, MD

Dr. Kelly was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts and obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. There he was a member of the boxing team and was active on intramural football and basketball teams in the community. After graduation Dr. Kelly worked as a full time tutor for children with learning disabilities while completing his pre-medical studies at Harvard University Extension School. He graduated from the University of New England School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. Dr. Kelly completed his Family medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford, NJ in 2010. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is an active member of the AOA and AMA. After his residency, Dr. Kelly worked for a private practice in Philadelphia, PA with privileges at Kennedy Hospital. He is also on staff at an inpatient pyschiatric and rehab/detox facility outside Philadelphia. Dr. Kelly has been a medical volunteer at Crudem Hospital in Milot, Haiti for the past 10 years and worked there after the earthquake in January, 2010. His special interests include cardiovascular medicine, acute medical care, sports medicine, and detox medicine. He recently relocated to the Tampa area to be closer to his family and escape the cold weather up north. Dr. Kelly enjoys a variety of sports including football, swimming, running, and traveling abroad.
